Conor McGregor’s Wife and Kids: The Untold Story of the Family Behind the UFC Icon

Conor McGregor's Wife and Kids: Meet His Family and Children

Conor McGregor is one of the most recognisable faces in combat sports history—a former two-division UFC champion whose brash confidence and knockout power have made him a global icon. But behind the headlines, the lavish lifestyle, and the octagon bravado lies a deeply personal story that has remained remarkably constant throughout his meteoric rise: his unwavering partnership with Dee Devlin and their growing family. As McGregor prepares for his long-awaited return to the UFC, his wife and four children remain the anchor that grounds him, offering a glimpse into the private life of a man who is rarely out of the public eye.

The couple’s journey is one of loyalty, sacrifice, and shared ambition. From humble beginnings in Dublin to a Vatican City wedding and a sprawling business empire, McGregor and Devlin have built a life together that transcends the fighter’s controversial public persona. Their relationship has weathered intense media scrutiny, legal battles, and the pressures of superstardom, yet through it all, they have remained each other’s most steadfast supporters. This is the story of Conor McGregor’s family—the wife who stood by him from the start and the four kids who are now old enough to watch their father compete for the very first time.

Dee Devlin: From Nightclub Meeting to Vatican Wedding

Dee Devlin’s story with Conor McGregor began in 2008, when the then-19-year-old fighter met her at a Dublin nightclub where she was working. At the time, McGregor was an apprentice plumber who had just decided to pursue mixed martial arts full-time—a gamble that would have been far more difficult without Devlin’s early support.

“I knew her a bit beforehand, but I think the first time I spoke to her properly was when I saw her in a nightclub,” McGregor later recalled. “She seemed like a nice girl, and I like good girls”. Devlin, for her part, was drawn to his dedication and humour, though she admitted to one early concern: “When I first met him, though, he didn’t have cauliflower ears, and I remember thinking, ‘Oh God, what if he gets cauliflower ears, that would be terrible!'”

For over a decade, Devlin remained McGregor’s partner through financial struggle and eventual superstardom, working as a waitress and model before taking on a directorial role at McGregor Sports and Entertainment. The couple got engaged in August 2020, on Devlin’s 33rd birthday. Five years later, on December 12, 2025, they finally tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at the Chapel of Santo Stefano degli Abissini in Vatican City—the oldest church in the Vatican, located next to St. Peter’s Basilica.

The wedding was nothing short of spectacular, featuring thousands of white roses, a string quartet, and a 10-member choir, with approximately 150 guests in attendance. McGregor later revealed that the ceremony’s 12:12 pm timing was unplanned—a letter from the Vatican moved it earlier—but he saw divine intervention in every detail. “God’s hand guided every detail, confirming His blessing on our union and His presence in my life,” he wrote. “Serving God is my number one priority. Then my wife. Then my children”.

Four Children and a Fighter’s Motivation

McGregor and Devlin are proud parents to four kids: sons Conor Jack McGregor Jr. (born May 2017), Rian McGregor (born May 2021), Mack McGregor (born November 2023), and daughter Croía Mairead McGregor (born January 2019). As of 2026, Conor Jr. is eight years old and has already shown signs of following in his father’s footsteps, frequently appearing in training videos alongside McGregor. Croía, now six, is the family’s only daughter—her name means “heart” in Irish. Rian is four, and the youngest, Mack, is two. McGregor has often spoken about how fatherhood has changed his perspective, and he frequently emphasises that family is his top priority, regardless of his fighting schedule or business ventures.

The upcoming UFC 329 fight against Max Holloway on July 11, 2026, marks McGregor’s first bout in five years. For the first time, all four of his children will be in attendance, having arrived in Las Vegas on Tuesday to watch their father compete live. McGregor admitted he was grateful they weren’t present for his last fight—a gruesome leg break against Dustin Poirier in 2021—but now feels the time is right. “My inspiration and my aim is let them watch their daddy in all his glory and our god,” he said.

With his wife ringside and his kids watching from the stands, McGregor’s return to the octagon is not just about reclaiming glory—it is about showing his family what discipline, dedication, and commitment can achieve.
