While we're anxiously refreshing Charli D'Amelio's [net worth: $4 million] Instagram page to see when she reaches the 10 million followers landmark, there was a huge event happening over on TikTok, not that we all didn't know about it. She was chasing up Zach King [net worth: $3.5 million] to grab the third place in TikTok follower-count, and she's finally done it.
When we said it would take about three weeks for Charli to surpass Zach, you know we weren't going to be wrong. Seriously, don't misplace the word 'about' we included when we said that, the time she surpassed Baby Ariel [net worth: $2 million] in fourth, because it was about three weeks it really took. To be precise, it took a mere 19 days for Charli to surpass Zach, chasing up the numbers while his too was increasing at a rapid rate.
As for Addison Rae [net worth: $3 million], she is 8th with 24.3 million followers.

As of right now (March 16), Zach increased his follower-count number from 35.3 million to 36.9 million in those 19 days. Meanwhile, Charli managed to bring in over 6.7 million new followers on her account, killing two birds with one stone — surpassing Zach and reaching the 37 million mark. Also meanwhile, Loren Gray [net worth: $4 million] still sits on top with 40.6 million followers, gaining just over 1 million new ones in the aforementioned time period.
It looks like about another two weeks until she catches up to Gray. On the other hand, there's TikTok's own account with 37.7 million followers standing in D'Amelio's way (i.e. second in the overall follower-count rankings) towards that glory.
All these people have achieved great things but none in such a short time as D'Amelio. While King's most recent trick featuring two musicians, Kristen Collins and Selena Gomez, at the same time (while Gomez's Rare played in the background) was so entertaining to just watch, D'Amelio's also moving forward from her Jennifer Lopez meet-up to those appearances in The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Live with Kelly within two days. And did you know she's already got an IMDb credit other than those two to her name? No, SuperBowl commercials are not recorded by the media information site.
The 15-year-old lent her voice for the December 2019 animated movie, Stardog and TurboCat, and is still working on another related project, according to her TikTok account. She posted a clip of herself dancing inside the recording studio, captioning the return of the movie this May. She wrote, "updates on my new animated film stardog and turbocat coming this may #stardogandturbocat stay tuned..."

It's unclear whether it's a sequel to the aforementioned movie, and there are no particular details to if there's even a sequel. Still, we are inclined to stay tuned. The last released movie starred Luke Evans voicing Felix, Nick Frost voicing Buddy and Gemma Arterton was Cassidy. Meanwhile, D'Amelio voiced Tinker. It was quite successful, all things considered, with a box office collection of over $358,000 since its release.
Since D'Amelio burst into popularity and was always mixing up dance as part of her videos, she kind of set a precedence to the possibility of videos on TikTok being more than just a lip-syncing platform. A video can be anything on the platform; you see King's magic trick on his account, for example.
And this is just a reminder, in case you haven't noticed yet, both D'Amelio and King featured in the same SuperBowl commercial this year. So, this follower-count is not a competition but just a gentle reminder of facts regarding their involvement in the app.
